VINI LACERDA
Get to know LACERDA and the beautiful creative mind behind the label, Vini Lacerda. Inspired by vintage French Vogues, ‘Clueless’ and an affinity for individuality, LACERDA (whose Fall/Winter collection will be presented on Friday at Toronto’s WMCFW) is a cohesive collection of strong yet minimal silhouettes, eccentric textures and rich colours.
The Fall/Winter ’13 collection has been shaping in Vini’s mind for as long as he can remember. Before this collection came to fruition, the designer was completely consumed with thoughts of how it would eventually take shape. Vini sketched silhouettes and detailed illustrations in order to define every aspect of LACERDA: what it was, and who would wear it. When all of these details were concisely formed in his mind, it was impossible to keep from making it happen.
The carrying out of this collection has been a passionate endeavor. Not only is it an overall portrayal of the designer’s stunning capabilities, it’s also a representation of a talented individual who has fresh creativity and is motivated by true passion.
