Launched in the spring of 2012, Fond Magazine is the brain child of writer-publicist/book nerd Cora Nijhawan and designer/yoga goddess/dog lover Shawna Robinson. After working in the Canadian fashion industry for several years, we met serendipitously and realized that we share a vision for the future of intelligent women’s fashion magazines. Like most good ideas, Fond was born over a few too many glasses of wine and solid conversation. After reminiscing about the gutsy writing we enjoyed in our teenage years from publications like Jane and Sassy, and wondering why Canadian fashion editorials don’t reflect the talent and range of fashion that this country enjoys, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Fond Magazine is a result of our combined strengths in design, production, publicity, writing and our love for art in all forms.

Fond Magazine delivers fresh, fashion-forward content without skimping on IQ. We’ll be covering everything from international fashion to design, travel, technology and music.
